One price, published before you book
We research what a job is worth and publish a price for it. You see that price while you are describing the work - not after a visit, not as a range, and not as the lowest of several bids you have to evaluate.
The price is the price. It does not move because the job took longer than someone hoped, and there is nothing to negotiate at the door.
We choose the service provider, and you approve
You do not pick from a list of strangers with star ratings. We match the job to a service provider who is approved for that specific kind of work and can reach you, and we make you an offer: this person, this price.
Nothing is booked until you accept it. If the price is not for you, you say no and the job ends there - and if you change your mind, you can ask for it back once.
What Homaru Certified means
Every service provider applies, and a person reviews the application. They are approved for a confirmed set of trades rather than for “home services” in general, so nobody is sent a job they did not say they do.
Reviews are read before they count towards anybody’s rating, and a service provider can be suspended. That is the part a rating average on its own cannot do.
What we charge
Today, service providers pay Homaru nothing: no subscription, no commission and no cut of the job. That may change, and if it does, service providers are told before it applies to them.
It matters for the rest of this page. A platform paid a percentage of every job earns more when the job costs more, which is a poor position from which to promise a fair price. Taking no cut means setting the right price and setting a high one are worth the same to us.
What we do not do
No bidding wars. No lead fees paid by a service provider hoping to win your job back in higher quotes. No surprise charges, and no upsell at your kitchen table.
Who builds Homaru
Homaru is operated by Hetunex Labs LLC. The name on the invoice, the terms and the support address is ours - there is one company behind this, and it is the one you can reach.
